1. Bio
The Honky Delta Farm Band are an original rock band from Long Island, NY, and we’re not as country as our name implies. Despite our love of American roots music, most of our original songs are rock or blues or — as trendy as it might be to say it — “indie”. But mostly just rock.
In addition to original tunes, our musical catalog includes up-beat classic rock and indie covers, and suped-up versions of bluegrass/country standards.

1b. About the Name
One night at rehearsal, the band played a particularly exciting version of one of the aforementioned old-timey country standards. At that point someone (jokingly) suggested that we should be called “The Honky Delta Farm Band.” As silly as the name is, it stuck. It’s a little ridiculous, but it’s playful, and it pays homage to our roots.
